SUNSET Private Reserve in Douglas launches their new Website!

We’re pleased to announce that after months of designing and coding, our new website is finally alive! My hopes are that you’ll find our new website to be as creative, interesting and vibrant as it is useful, convenient and informative.
The new website is available at www.sunsetreserve.co.za.

Would you believe that we started this site revamp almost 7 months ago? It has been quite the journey, filled with a fair share of headaches, a good number of late nights, lots of teamwork, and some very unique design and programming challenges. And I assure you, no animals or plants were harmed during the production of this website :P.

So what can you expect from our new site? First off, there’s the content. With our new site, you can get information on our accommodation, cuisine, and game drive packages, find our latest rates and literally browse hundreds of photographs of the reserve and its facilities in just a few clicks. Mobile friendly? Yes indeed! You can visit us and use all of the site’s functions from pretty much any device. Next, I’d like to draw your attention to our fantastic new Photo Gallery (available from the top menu). Adding this gallery was very important to us, as we often experience interesting and beautiful scenes at the reserve, and now we’ve finally got a place to showcase them. Please enjoy what we’ve got so far, but you can always revisit the gallery later as I’ve dusted off my camera and will be adding new photos from time to time.

On the subject of photographs, I’d just like to mention that many of the stunning photos used throughout our website are all thanks to published wildlife photographer, Heinrich Neumeyer, that visited us for a few days in early 2016. Heinrich, if you’re reading this, thanks again.

Then, also included in our snazzy new site is SUNSET Private Reserve’s very own blog! Here we’ll provide you with posts on national and international wildlife affairs, share some of our reserve’s stories and give away great cooking tips and recipes while our “Weekly Dose of Did You Know’s” will make you smarter every week! Now I know, there are only a few posts on the blog right now but don’t you worry, we’ve got some great posts planned for the rest of the year.
And finally, how about that animation at the top of the homepage, huh? If you didn’t notice it before or haven’t visited our homepage yet, please enjoy!
